Front Runner Updates

“It means a lot to have the racing shown live on Front Runner”

Joe Osborne competed in British GT3 for many years but has moved to the GT4 class this season. In our third driver interview ahead of the British GT Championship, he speaks about new challenges as he prepares to race a Tolman Motorsport McLaren 570S GT4 with David Pattison. Racing is being shown live on Front Runner this Easter Sunday.

Front Runner: Compared with previous years, the season ahead is going to be slightly different for you. What new challenges are you preparing yourself for?

Joe: Allowing people to overtake me. In GT3, it’s bad when someone overtakes you – but that’s not necessarily the case in GT4. Although I’ll be trying to overtake the slower GT3 drivers hopefully.

Front Runner: How does it feel to be behind the wheel of a marque as iconic as McLaren?

Joe: Really cool, I do quite a lot of work for McLaren and really love the brand. I really get excited working with their new products and the GT4 doesn’t disappoint.

Front Runner: You’re racing a Tolman Motorsport McLaren 570S GT4 with David Pattison – how is that partnership shaping up?

Joe: All good, we all know each other well. We’ve been working together for three years so it’s time that we finally did a season together.

Front Runner: What are you looking forward to most this season?

Joe: It means a lot to have the racing shown live on Front Runner.

Front Runner: Who are you most looking forward to racing in the GT4 class?

Joe: Ryan Ratcliffe in his Mercedes GT3.

Live coverage of the 2017 British GT Championship starts Easter Monday (April 17) at 10.45am-2pm and 3pm-5.15pm.
