Live motorsport to be broadcast on free sports channel Front Runner

The UK’s only free sports channel Front Runner will screen live action from the Dubai Autodrome this Friday (January 13) and Saturday (January 14) at the season opener of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook.

Fans can tune into real-time updates from the ‘Hankook 24H DUBAI – Round 1 of the 24H SERIES’ on Sky, Freeview, FreeSat and Talk Talk/BT. The show – titled ‘Hankook 24H Dubai’ – will be presented by commentators from Radiolemans.com.

Almost 100 endurance teams and over 400 drivers are set to compete in the race and the broadcast will be the first high-profile motorsport event to be aired live on Front Runner.

On Friday, between 9.30am and 11am* follow the race buildup and anticipation from the start grid, with pre-race interviews with the drivers, the first pit stops and initial laps of the race. From midday to 5pm, tune into the race’s progress and get to know more about the drivers and teams competing.

On Saturday’s show, the racing action and analysis continues non-stop between 2am and 10.30am with the finish and podium ceremony.

Ryan Scarratt, from Front Runner, said: “We’re delighted to be introducing live motor racing with the first round of the 24H SERIES and screening all the action as it happens in Dubai.

“If the live broadcast on Friday and Saturday is successful, we will explore the possibility of screening further live races as the motor racing season continues around the world.”

Natasha Mark from CREVENTIC, the Dutch agency which is the promoter and organiser of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook in co-operation with the Dutch National Racing Team, said: “The development of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook, now also accompanied by our new 24H TCE SERIES powered by Hankook and 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook, is one of the major success stories in international motorsport.

“The Hankook 24H DUBAI is our undisputed flagship event with an international field of teams and drivers, but also an international audience of endurance racing fans that is getting bigger and bigger every year.

“The media presence on Front Runner, the UK’s only free sports channel, only helps to increase the popularity of the event, with plenty of teams and drivers from the UK.”

Front Runner is available on Freeview ch91, FreeSat ch250, Talk Talk/BT ch91 and Sky ch468. The free-to-air sports channel launched in October 2016.
